Futuristic Laser Mosquito Defense System Now Available for Purchase

The Photon Matrix Infrared and Blue Laser Mosquito Air Defense is now in mass production and preparing to ship initial units, moving beyond its crowdfunding origins last July. According to Tom's Hardware, the device targets insects within a six-meter radius across a 90-degree horizontal plane, relying on LiDAR, mmWave radar, and artificial intelligence to spot targets between 2mm and 20mm in size.

The hardware is available in two variants, with the home-focused infrared version priced at $988 and the industrial blue laser model priced at $1,088. While demonstration footage shows the hardware successfully eliminating the pests, questions remain regarding real-world effectiveness, though the manufacturer states the unit has passed certifications to ensure safety for humans, pets, and birds.

Unlike chemical pesticides that can negatively impact the health of humans and animals, this laser-based alternative offers localized protection without toxic substances, presenting a potential breakthrough for residential and institutional use against disease-carrying insects.
