What we collect

THERUNDWN collects limited, anonymous activity data to understand how the site is used. This can include pages viewed, articles opened, time spent reading an article, use of an audio brief, the referring page, and browser user-agent information.

If you join THERUNDWN with Google, we receive and store the name and email address associated with your Google account. We use that information to manage your membership and send THERUNDWN updates.

How analytics works

We assign a random browser identifier that is stored locally in your browser. It is not tied to your name, email address, account, or IP address. Activity events are stored in our database and are used only to measure site engagement and improve the service.

You can turn off this first-party activity tracking from the God View dashboard when using the site as an administrator. Clearing your browser storage also removes the local identifier.

Google sign-in

Google authenticates your account and shares the basic profile information you approve. THERUNDWN does not receive your Google password. You can request removal of your subscriber information through the contact form on the Info page.

Service providers

We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate site performance. We may use service providers to host the site, store audio, and deliver images. Those providers process data only as needed to provide their services.

Advertising

THERUNDWN does not currently display third-party advertising. If we introduce advertising, including Google AdSense, this policy will be updated to describe the relevant cookies, advertising partners, and available consent choices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The date above will change when we make a material revision.
