The Healey administration is targeting the plant-derived product, frequently found in convenience stores and smoke stations, due to a lack of oversight and potential for dependence. According to wbur.org, the emergency directive from the Department of Public Health will prohibit transactions of the item in all formats throughout the commonwealth for up to one year following a brief notice period.
